There is no doubt that when we look around us we are surrounded by a lot of evil happenings going on. The first thing that needs to be established is that God is not the originator of evil. The book of Genesis made us know that when God created everything they were all good. God loves us too much to want anything evil befall us.
The reason why we experience evil going on around us can be attributed to the devil and his cohorts. Bible made us know that the devil is the god of this world. The devil saw to it that man fell who was the original being in charge and owned dominion over the earth. God doesn't derive pleasure in seeing evil befall His people and that is why it is absurd to think that He wants evil things to happen to us.
It is the devil who is mankind common enemy that wants all things evil to befall us. The devil knows how precious man is to God and being an enemy of God he devices various means to hurt that which God loves. Never has there been a time God wanted evil for us and there would never be.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
If God doesn't think evil concerning us how then can He want it for us? We are bound to experience setbacks and certain issues of life but they are just for the meantime. In due time if we do not faint, the good plans of God will eventually play out in our lives.
God is not the author of evil, satan is. But the good news is that God would always protect us from the onslaught of the devil.
