A new vision | CCC's Street Art Contest #272 [ENG-ESP]

Lately, many corners of the city where I live are filling up with murals, giving an artistic vibe to places that no one used to look at before.

Últimamente, muchos rincones de la ciudad donde vivo se están llenando de murales, dándole así una vibra artística a lugares que antes nadie volteaba a mirar.

The work I am showing you today is brand new, you can tell, right?, and it is located outside a place with a rather unpleasant history, at least for people like me who love animals. It is the bullring in La Victoria, Venezuela.

La obra que les muestro hoy está recién hecha, se nota ¿verdad?, y se encuentra en la parte exterior de un lugar con una historia nada agradable, al menos para las personas como yo que amamos a los animales. Se trata de la plaza de toros de La Victoria, Venezuela.

This place, founded in 1929 and where bullfights were held until approximately 2000, was abandoned for a long time. The good news is that the city council decided to restore it, as the building is a historical heritage site, but now it will no longer be a place for torturing bulls, but a cultural center.

Este lugar, fundado en 1929 y dónde se hicieron corridas hasta aproximadamente el año 2000, estuvo abandonado durante mucho tiempo. La buena noticia es que la alcaldía decidió recuperarlo, ya que la edificación es patrimonio histórico, pero ahora ya no será un recinto para torturar toros, sino un centro cultural.

In fact, it reopens today, after several months of restoration work, and this brightly colored mural with its attentive gaze, which adorns one of the walls near the entrance, seems to evoke the new vision for this space.

Justamente su reapertura es hoy, después de varios meses de restauraciones, y este mural de colores vivos y mirada atenta que adorna una de las paredes cerca de la entrada, parece evocar la nueva visión de este espacio.

Although the work is now complete, it lacks the artist's signature. I couldn't find it anywhere, but perhaps it will appear after the venue's opening.

Aunque la obra ya está terminada, le falta la firma del artista. No la encontré por ningún lado, quizás aparezca luego de la inauguración del lugar.
