The jaguar is loose, the jaguar is in town, and no doubt I am also back in my favorite community, so today the urban art is better represented with this spectacular multicolored mural, but without leaving protagonism to its king, the jaguar.

Juan Velez is an acclaimed artist in the field of urban art. He has filled the streets of Medellin, cultural centers, and schools with his remarkable art; his personal mark is undoubtedly the representation of the jaguar in the city, wrapping it in a kind of mystical art—indigenous, environmentalist, and bohemian—but letting the jaguar be the protagonist. The technique in this mural, a graffiti with stencils and a layered effect, to give the animal that kind of mobility, really enhances the beauty and power of this feline, which reigns in the jungles of this side of the world. His remarkable handling of colors is a demonstration that supports the concept of “Pachamama,” preserving in this case the original coloration of the animal. His large-sized mural makes me feel like I'm in a Jurassic jungle, that is to say, giant. It is a mural that, in spite of being multicolored and large, is not unfocused; it is its essence. The feline is the magic of the ancestral people; we must admire it, but I think it also calls to conserve it. I fell in love with this piece because, you know, I love Amazonian pieces.

Particularly, I have found an artistic niche that I love: urban art. It enlivened in me my university days, when I was studying arts and talking about artistic representations encouraged me. The graffiti of women and Amazonian felines is my passion, because I think they maintain that struggle, that initial goal of street art, which is the sense of protest, of introducing new ideas of liberation and ideologies, which are still in struggle, such as equal rights for women and the protection of wildlife, so this mural is a 100/100 for me, and I love to share it with you. I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for reading this little work and for always supporting me. Let's continue in the task of supporting urban art, that street art that is, without a doubt, everywhere in the world and that we have the opportunity to make visible and share. I think it is a great job that I hope will be enhanced. Thank you.
