Rage Before Readiness.

in Gaming Photography2 months ago

I agreed to ride with Sadie Adler on a mission driven by grief and revenge. After a haunting wolf dream,, they reached the O'Driscoll hideout. Sadie's rage ignited the ambush too early, forcing a restart to witness the confrontation properly.

I was preparing to head toward Sadie Adler for my next mission when I ran into Susan Grimshaw. She was frustrated, mentioning how the Reverend had simply left, leaving her to handle things alone.

I finally walked over to Sadie's spot and found her focused and fierce, practicing her knife-throwing skills against a tree.

Sadie asked Arthur if he would ride with her on a mission of pure revenge. She had discovered that one of the O'Driscolls involved in the murder of her husband was still alive and hiding nearby.

I was given the choice to help her or walk away; seeing the pain in the poor lady's eyes, I decided to stand by her.

After our conversation, Sadie asked if I wanted to ride out with her immediately or meet her at the ambush spot later. I chose to ride with her right away, cause there was no sense in letting her face those monsters alone for a second longer.

Sadie was clearly touched that Arthur agreed to go. She thanked him, and they both hopped on their horses to begin the long ride. During the journey, the screen shifted into a haunting dream sequence. I saw a black wolf under a moonlit sky in a stark black-and-white shade. I tried hard to catch a glimpse of its eyes, but it remained a shadow.

The scene suddenly cut to Arthur waking up from his sleep. It confirmed my suspicion: the wolf was a vision in a dream, likely a reflection of Arthur's own path. It looked like they had made camp and rested through the night close to the O'Driscoll hideout to prepare for the morning ambush.

As we reached the spot, things got chaotic quickly. While I was still at my horse, fumbling with my saddles to get my gear out, Sadie's rage took over. She charged ahead and started the fight before I was even ready.

Because I missed the beginning of the action and wanted to see how it played out properly, I used a fire bottle to take myself out so I could restart the encounter from the beginning.

Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.

I hope those O'Driscolls are ready, because with Sadie's rage and your aim, they don't stand a chance. I loved your observation about the wolf dream.

Yeah, once she snaps, there is no mercy left. And, she in that mood is unstoppable.

Choosing to ride together would be great for the dialogue, but I see you didn't get to ride yourself as you were pulled to the spot automatically, as you mentioned. That last photo of the suicide looks awesome.

Yeah, I wanted the shared ride for the dialogue, but the game had other plans.
