This google news article from @yankodesign showed up and they always have dope shit so i checked it out even though I have zero desire to buy a hardware wallet , and i saw a really cool device. Screens inside the 2 from buttons and a nice thin little ticker screen on the opposite the knob side.
Having a wallet like this with mini games and ticker on aide and trading buttons is probably useless but does look like a fun project to design and build etc
But now i think i want to keep working on Making something not necisarily a wallet (altho thats totally an option) but a device thats like the geekmagic smart rv weather clock but for displaying hive posts and now i think it should record audio and transcribe text to posts, first asking you for a title then hashtags then community then the post and a lilygo sensecap ai watcher esp32 could handle that i think, simple voice to text and posting over wifi to hive if it has a posting key which it can read as a barcode from keychain.
Maybe even active keys too to use as a hive wallet but the ai watcher sensecap is like $90 amd a simple es32 with screen is $7 so if we add a simple mic, it could take down our voice or we could even add a tiny keyboard like the lilygo tpad which has an old blackberry keypad. Honestly thatd be a great contender for a hive version of this and it coukd use its LORA meshtastic for some crazy "offline hive" voodoo in the future to stirr and send later hive posts or something so no one can track anyone in the future if were all helping broadcast each others signed posts etc
I think just a lil hive logo shaped red esp32 hive ticker would be cool
oh I GOT IT. a low security hot wallet only designed to send 1 maybe 5 or 10 hive max or more if you really wanted, but theyll be designed TO SEND hive but be as disposable as possible. A full hive wallet on an esp32 that is $6 that can send hive to your real wallet!
Man gemini makes great prototype ideas. Now ill make sonethin close to that using a hexahon shaped esp32 case , ill use a esp32 tdisplay. Maybe i could even buy ine with lora but itd make it like an extra 30 bucks for a special radio to let you send messages to other nearbye hive jsers. Hive users woukd love it and people would associate us with meshtastic. Altho i havw heard 1 person on the street last week tell me theyve used helium as an operator on their phones , i always wonder how that hardware works because i rrally eant to setup my own network. Dont people basicaly setup their own little 3g and 4g towers right? Buy special antenaes and devices right? All so interesting and i also wanna combine hive and baofangs and ham radios and starlink and cb snd oacket radio and all that.
But a physical hive device could help us get some notoriety on twitter/instagram/reddit IF we make it Look Cool enough! Eventually ill cast or cnc my own case and really make it look fun and 90s like a digimon with a hive mini game that lets u earn hive pver meshtastic like splinterlands integration and itll feel loke fuckin digimon man ...lol jk but imagine that dude ....90s digimon devices were sooo cool omg going to elementart school to share all our 90s toys in the 90s was pretty epic.
One time i got to ride the amtrack train with my gameboy and pokemon and link cable and this kid also had link cable and we went up and down the train battling everyone on their gameboy it was wild, i was the only one who could challenge him. It was like a real life pokemon moment
