¿Algo representativo de mi ciudad? ¡Te lo tengo!

La cruz del Paseo de la Cruz y el Mar o el "Paseo Colón", es un icono de la ciudad donde resido, Puerto la Cruz. Aquella cruz azul está ahí desde que tengo uso de razón, es muy atractiva para los turistas y podría decirse que es el corazón del paseo. Así como Lechería tiene la Virgen del Valle en Playa Lido y Barcelona La Casa Fuerte, Puerto la Cruz tiene su bonita cruz azul alzándose por lo alto, contrastando con la playa el cielo.

Siempre que voy al Paseo, aprovecho de caminar y disfrutar de ver la playa, la cruz se hace inevitable encontrármela, así que ya estoy bastante familiarizada con ella. Por las noches suelen encenderla con unas bonitas luces parpadeantes y llama aún más la atención. La verdad es que esta cruz es una de las cosas más bonitas que tiene el Paseo, le da su toque especial a la ciudad, haciéndola identificable fácilmente.

Particularmente yo le tengo cariño al Paseo porque desde pequeña voy para allá, la cruz esta presente en muchas memorias que recuerdo con cariño. Quienes no conocen Puerto la Cruz, si llegan a venir, no olviden caminar por el Paseo y acercarse a la cruz, de verdad que es muy bonita y, aunque parezca un plan simple, hay muchas cosas alrededor que pueden complementar la experiencia, como los pequeños vendedores y artesanos.

The cross of the "Paseo de la Cruz y el Mar" or the “Paseo Colón”, is an icon of the city where I live, Puerto la Cruz. That blue cross has been there for as long as I can remember, it is very attractive to tourists and I could say it is the heart of the boulevard. Just as Lechería has the "Virgen del Valle in Playa Lido" and Barcelona "La Casa Fuerte", Puerto la Cruz has its beautiful blue cross rising up high, contrasting with the beach and the sky.

Whenever I go to the boulevard, I take the opportunity to walk and enjoy seeing the beach, the cross is inevitable to come across it, so I'm already pretty familiar with it. At night they usually turn it on with beautiful flashing lights and it attracts even more attention. The truth is that this cross is one of the most beautiful things that the boulevard has, it gives a special touch to the city, making it easily identifiable.

I'm particularly fond of that boulevard because I've been going there since I was a child, the cross is present in many memories that I remember with affection. Those who do not know Puerto la Cruz, if you come, do not forget to walk along the boulevard and approach the cross, it really is very nice and although it seems like a simple plan, there are many things around that can complement the experience, such as small vendors and artisans.
