Una Experiencia Diferente en Neuropedagogía Hoy nuestra dinámica de clases cambió. En lugar de ir a la universidad, acompañamos a nuestra profesora de neurolingüística a una actividad especial en una institución educativa dedicada a niños de primaria.
La profesora nos pidió que preparáramos un cuento que nos gustara y que transmitiera un mensaje profundo. La idea era compartirlo con los niños en sus aulas, a modo de círculo de lectura. Así que cada uno de nosotros preparó su cuento y lo compartió.

A Different Experience in Neuropedagogy Today our class dynamics changed. Instead of going to the university, we accompanied our neurolinguistics teacher to a special activity in an educational institution dedicated to elementary school children.
The teacher asked us to prepare a story that we liked and that conveyed a deep message. The idea was to share it with the children in their classrooms, as a reading circle. So each of us prepared our own story and shared it.
Me impresionó muchísimo el interés de los niños por la lectura. Es algo que, lamentablemente, no veía tan a menudo debido a la influencia de los dispositivos tecnológicos, el internet y las redes sociales. Mis compañeros también llevaron cuentos muy interesantes que hicieron reflexionar a los pequeños.
Enfrentando la Depresión y Promoviendo la Vida
Actualmente, la depresión ha cobrado la vida de muchos jóvenes en mi ciudad. Por alguna extraña razón, cada mes jóvenes fallecen por actos de autoviolencia. Por eso, desde el Pedagógico de Maturín y con el apoyo de profesores preocupados, se realizan diversas actividades lúdicas como esta, que abordan temas importantes como la familia, la vida y la sociedad. Esta actividad, en particular, también buscaba inculcar un valor social en los niños.
He comprendido que la lectura nos hace más sabios; nos brinda sabiduría y herramientas para afrontar diversas situaciones, potencia nuestra creatividad y nos sumerge en un mundo de posibilidades a través de nuestra mente. De ahí la importancia de cultivar la mente y mantenerla ocupada con información positiva.
I was very impressed by the children's interest in reading. It is something that, unfortunately, I did not see so often due to the influence of technological devices, the internet and social networks. My colleagues also brought very interesting and thought-provoking stories for the little ones.
Confronting Depression and Promoting Life Currently, depression has taken the lives of many young people in my city. For some strange reason, every month young people die from acts of self-violence. For this reason, from the Pedagógico de Maturín and with the support of concerned teachers, various playful activities such as this one, which address important issues such as family, life and society, are carried out. This activity, in particular, also sought to instill a social value in the children.
I have come to understand that reading makes us wiser; it gives us wisdom and tools to deal with various situations, enhances our creativity and immerses us in a world of possibilities through our minds. Hence the importance of cultivating the mind and keeping it busy with positive information.
Perder jóvenes a causa de la depresión nos obliga a actuar. Me preocupa entender qué está pasando para que se esté normalizando la muerte de jóvenes por falta de aceptación, no solo como profesional, sino también como ciudadana, como madre de tres hijos y como guía para muchos. El valor de la vida es nuestro bien más preciado.
No sé qué está sucediendo, y por eso, actualmente se han creado políticas públicas en las escuelas para frenar esta ola de acoso escolar, una de las causas que está llevando a estos actos de autoviolencia. En la actividad, pudimos interactuar con niños desde tercer hasta sexto grado; escucharlos y ver cómo se sumergían en las historias que compartían mis compañeros fue muy gratificante.
Lecciones y Reflexiones
Uno de mis compañeros les comentó a los niños que él era profesor, pero que también era estudiante, porque los profesores, al ser quienes enseñan, siempre continúan estudiando para seguir aprendiendo. Esa es su tarea: aprender y enseñar. Esto me hizo pensar que quizás, en un futuro, podría considerar dar clases en alguna institución educativa, sobre todo en universidades.
Losing young people to depression forces us to act. I am concerned to understand what is happening to normalize the death of young people due to lack of acceptance, not only as a professional, but also as a citizen, as a mother of three children and as a guide for many. The value of life is our most precious commodity.
I do not know what is happening, and that is why, currently, public policies have been created in schools to curb this wave of bullying, one of the causes that is leading to these acts of self-violence. In the activity, we were able to interact with children from third to sixth grade; listening to them and seeing how they immersed themselves in the stories shared by my classmates was very rewarding.
Lessons and Reflections One of my classmates told the children that he was a teacher, but he was also a student, because teachers, being the ones who teach, always continue to study in order to keep learning. That is their task: to learn and to teach. This made me think that perhaps, in the future, I might consider teaching in some educational institution, especially in universities.
Cada vivencia nos deja una enseñanza. La de hoy fue muy bonita, y es la primera que realizo como estudiante universitaria de posgrado. Los niños fueron muy obedientes y el ambiente escolar era muy agradable, donde se notaba la armonía y sinergia entre los docentes y los alumnos. Fue una experiencia maravillosa que disfruté mucho y que quedará en mi libro de recuerdos.
Every experience leaves us with a lesson. Today's experience was very nice, and it is the first one I have had as a graduate student. The children were very obedient and the school environment was very pleasant, where the harmony and synergy between teachers and students was noticeable. It was a wonderful experience that I enjoyed very much and that will remain in my memory book.
