Hola, amigos, ¡sean bienvenidos a mi blog! Hoy es viernes y, como siempre, nos tocó ir a la universidad para una nueva jornada de actividades escolares. Veo cada encuentro como una oportunidad para adquirir nuevos conocimientos y socializar con personas inteligentes, donde siempre descubro temas que hasta hace poco eran completamente desconocidos para mí.
Pero más que ser un viernes de ir a la universidad a ver clases, hoy también fue un día para salir de casa. Estos días he estado muy relajada y debo confesar que me encanta estar en mi hogar, pues ahí tengo todo lo que necesito para sentirme cómoda y segura.
Dentro de pocos días se realizarán elecciones en mi país; hasta donde sé, solo serán para gobernadores y diputados. Esto hizo que el "plan república" ocupara las escuelas que son centros de votación, y la de mis hijos lo es, así que tuve unos días para dormir hasta tarde. Pero hoy tocó salir, alistarme, preparar mi scooter, mi bolso, mis lentes, el termo de agua y demás, y recorrer varios kilómetros. El clima en mi ciudad es muy cambiante, así que siempre hay que estar preparados.

I see every meeting as an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and socialize with intelligent people, where I always discover topics that until recently were completely unknown to me.
But rather than being a Friday of going to the university to watch classes, today was also a day to get out of the house. These days I have been very relaxed and I must confess that I love being at home, because there I have everything I need to feel comfortable and safe.
In a few days elections will be held in my country; as far as I know, they will only be for governors and deputies. This made the “republic plan” to occupy the schools that are voting centers, and my children's school is one of them, so I had a few days to sleep late. But today it was time to go out, get ready, prepare my scooter, my bag, my glasses, the thermos of water and so on, and ride several kilometers. The weather in my city is very changeable, so you always have to be prepared.
Hoy me sentí muy bien, me sentía bonita y me gustaba cómo me quedaba la ropa, algo que hacía tiempo no sentía. Esto del sobrepeso es un tema muy importante para mí, del que luego les haré catarsis.
La clase de hoy fue muy productiva. En este momento, la educación universitaria a nivel de maestría se siente tan diferente a cuando estábamos en el pregrado. Ya no tenemos un título que alcanzar desesperadamente; ahora estamos aquí porque así lo queremos.
He pensado mucho en el tema del doctorado y qué haré al terminar la maestría. Claro, aún falta tiempo para eso, pero siempre me gusta planear el futuro y definitivamente debo seguir estudiando, porque eso me mantiene la cabeza ocupada y me hace bien. Sé que el día a día con mis hijos es demandante, por lo que intento crear rutinas que no siempre cumplo, pero que me esfuerzo por seguir. Sé lo que debo hacer: en este momento, mi prioridad es equilibrar mi vida y cumplir con todas mis responsabilidades.

Today's class was very productive. At this point, college education at the master's level feels so different than when we were in undergrad. We no longer have a degree to desperately reach for; now we are here because we want to be.
I've been thinking a lot about the PhD and what I will do when I finish my master's degree. Of course, that's still some time away, but I always like to plan for the future and I should definitely keep studying, because it keeps my head busy and does me good. I know that the day-to-day life with my children is demanding, so I try to create routines that I don't always follow, but that I do my best to follow. I know what I have to do: right now, my priority is to balance my life and fulfill all my responsibilities.
Así que, después de nuestra clase, acostumbro tomar fotos con mis compañeros para el recuerdo. Esta vez no fue diferente, pero usamos el temporizador y las tomas quedaron distintas y nos gustaron mucho. El único varón del salón es muy alto en comparación con nosotras y para salir completo en la foto le tocó doblarse, ¡ja, ja, ja, fue muy cómico! Disfrutamos mucho este momento de las fotos, pues es el recuerdo que nos queda de esta etapa de nuestra vida, donde decidimos dar el siguiente paso y continuar con el posgrado.

The only boy in the class is very tall compared to us and to get the full picture he had to bend over, ha ha ha, it was very funny! We really enjoyed this moment of the photos, because it is the memory that remains of this stage of our life, where we decided to take the next step and continue with our graduate studies.
