Well now we're into music that inspires and lifts us up to the Lord!!! Do you have such songs in your playlist? Here's mine! Find out why I have them in my list too! 😁

1 - Pagmamahal sa Panginoon (Love of God), Bukas Palad Music Ministry
I first heard of this song last year in a parish from a different city where I live. Had to stay with a sibling for several months and the church at their area would play this as the entrance song to each mass.
Never heard of it before the first time I went to mass there and it immediately made an impression upon me. At the time I didn't know it was based on a Bible verse: Psalm 111. However since then it has always stayed with me. Somehow it would just be at the back of my mind. ☺️ Why? Because it is indeed true, when I started to love the Lord that's the only time I began to understand some of the Church teachings that would usually go from ear to ear. 😆
2 - O God Beyond All Praising, Catholic Music Initiative
I discovered them on YT last year and found their song versions really beautiful and inspiring to listen to. So here's one of my favorites of theirs for everyone to hear.
3 - Hail Holy Queen, Catholic Music Initiative
This is actually the reason why I learned of this Christian musician group. They did such a wonderful rendition of the song like, wow. Just heavenly to listen to.
4 - I Will Sing Forever, Bukas Palad Music Ministry
This is usually used as a closing song at the end of mass. And indeed it is very fitting because after experiencing God's love and unity with Him we can only sing praise to Him afterwards right? Haha. Yeah but it's sad when only those who are properly disposed spiritually are able to truly sing it from the heart.
Didn't appreciate this song that much prior to Lent 2023 because I wasn't living a good Christian life at all. How could I really sing about something I didn't really know about right? Only when one knows what we're singing will we really lift our voice to the Lord. No wonder then lately I could really sing along whenever our parish uses this at the end of Sunday mass. And of course I also play it at home sometimes.
5 - Gandang Sinauna at Sariwa, Bukas Palad Music Ministry
This one really had an impact on me when I heard it again after a long time. You know, your native language will always hit you most in the heart. This is the local translation of St. Augustine's famous lines: "Late have I loved you..." song version of course.
Why did it make it to my playlist? Because last year I really felt the sentiment. God is so good that He gave me enough time to repent and come back to His flock. Who would not love the Lord of all who is ever merciful and loving? Praise to You oh Lord forever! 🙌
6 - Your Way's Better, Forrest Frank
Now this one I found out some months ago. I didn't even know who Forrest Frank is until he was miraculously healed by God. Like, whoa. Read an older music post I wrote about him and his songs here for more details: Forrest Frank: Makin' Music To Partey With the Lord!
I like party music and his songs are just the kind of songs I dig! When I heard this I was like whoa. haha. Because it's so true! The Lord knows what's good for us, much better than our own mothers! Listen up and enjoy!
7 - Lift My Hands, Forrest Frank
Here's another one worth having in any playlist. Check out the lyrics, sing along and you'll really be full on praising God. Haha. ♥️ This is why it won't be leaving my playlist anytime soon. 😁
8 - Lemonade, Forrest Frank & The Figs
Here's another one that came out after Forrest was miraculously healed. I mean it's so awesome to hear a song about Jesus who makes lemonades out of our lemons! Thank You Jesus!!!
'How can Jesus be makin' lemonades?' you may wonder. Well here's my answer: Your Pain and Suffering is Worth More Than Gold If... (2 of 2)
9 - Where I Belong, Cory Asbury
Before I found Forrest Frank and prior to my spiritual renewal I found Cory Asbury's Holy album and I was hooked. God made me notice Him a decade or so ago and yet I still didn't bother to repent. How could I when I didn't know I had to? 😂 This is how blind and deaf sinful cradle Catholics are, especially those who live pagan lives. Ah so many of us are like this and the only way to get out of it imho is to keep praying for the conversion of sinners daily. 🙏
Anyway I still love this song. Listen and you'll understand why.
10 - You Are My Hope, Cory Asbury
Yes Lord, You are my hope and my only salvation. 🙏 Thank You Jesus. I praise and glorify You forever! 🙏♥️✝️
Oh I'd like to add more but the Hive PH community's contest only asks for 10 so that's all folks! Well heck okay, here's a bonus song just because God is so awesome. Here's So Good to Me by Cory Asbury.
Which one did you like the most and why? 😁 Feel free to share your list too!
