What’s up, Hivers? It’s me, cupckate. It’s been a while. 😇
Have you ever thought about how life can be so unfair sometimes? We all go through moments when we stop and ask ourselves, “Why is this happening to me?” or “What did I do to deserve this?” Life doesn’t always go the way we hope and plan. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, things still don’t work out. We see people who work day and night just to survive, while others seem to have everything handed to them without effort. Have you ever felt like no matter what you do, it's never enough? Like you're always trying your best, but it still feels like you're falling behind? I feel that way sometimes too. I think about how some people are kind, honest, and hardworking, yet they face so many problems. It doesn’t feel fair sometimes. These thoughts can make us
feel tired, sad, or even hopeless. But you’re not alone. Many of us ask these same questions.
And.. just when I was so lost in my thoughts, I saw these little kids — so happy catching fish by the shore. I wondered why they were doing this, so I went closer and heard them talking about how happy they were that they would finally have dish to eat for dinner. This happened @Lolo Otik’s Tambayan - Samong’s Residence. They live just near here, and my Aunt allowed them to be here, catching fish anytime they want.
They were just little kids. They should be with others, playing and having fun, but they chose to be here, catching fish for their meal.
Just look at how little they caught — yet they were already so happy with it.
They even caught a puffer fish, but since it couldn’t be eaten, they eventually threw it back into the sea.
To catch these fish, they put an earthworm on a nylon line, threw it into the sea, and waited for a fish to take the bait.
Watching those kids that day made me pause and think deeply. Life may be unfair, yes—but in that moment, I saw something beautiful: gratitude in the simplest form. They had so little, yet their smiles were wide, their laughter was genuine, and their hearts were full.
It made me understand how we can still find hope, peace, and strength even when things don't make sense. It reminded me that happiness doesn't always come from having more. Sometimes, it comes from appreciating what we already have, no matter how small. Those kids may not have much, but they had hope, joy, and a sense of contentment that many of us are still searching for. So maybe life is unfair in many ways — but if we choose to see the good in small things, like a fish caught by the shore or a meal shared with family, maybe it becomes just a little more bearable. Maybe even beautiful.
Let’s keep going, Hivers, one day at a time. And whenever life feels heavy, let’s try to remember the joy of those little kids by the sea. ❤️🩹
Thank you for sharing. It is such an inspiring story. Sometimes we need to appreciate what we have even small or big and be thankful always for that. Greetings!
couldn't agree more, @desyah07 🫶🏻 we can always find hope and strength even when things don't make sense sometimes.
