Ya estamos casi terminando mayo, han sucedido muchos juegos de baloncesto que, por una u otra razón, no he podido cubrirlos. El día de hoy se efectuó un juego amistoso entre las delegaciones de Yaguaraparo y Águilas de Fuego, en el Gimnasio Raimundo Yant del municipio Bolívar, en el mismo participaron las categorías U-11 y U-12, la categoría que contó con jugadores mixtos fue la U-11. Al llegar la delegación de Yaguaraparo, las atletas de Águilas ya estaban calentando, ellos lo hicieron por unos cuantos minutos, para comenzar el primer partido en la categoría U-12. Cabe resaltar que Yaguaraparo debía estar en Cumaná también para un intercambio deportivo, por eso que se jugó temprano. El árbitro sonó el pito y comenzó el partido, ambos equipos mostraron sus destrezas en la cancha, con buenas defensas y ofensivas que hicieron este primer partido fuera muy emocionante, a pesar de que Yaguaraparo tenía varias jugadoras altas, Águilas no le dio mucha importancia, defendió su zona bastante bien, el contacto cuerpo a cuerpo fue evidente entre las jugadoras, dándole ventaja para posicionarse en este primer cuarto con el marcador 12 a 6. Para el segundo cuarto, el cambio de jugadoras favoreció a Yaguaraparo, Águilas bajo la guardia, impresionando bastante las jugadoras de Yaguaraparo, fueron poco a poco recuperando confianza, mostraron unas defensivas tremenda en este cuarto, aunque no lograron cerrar el marcador a su favor, ya que Águilas no se los dejo tan fácil, terminando este cuarto a su favor a 19 a 14.

Siguió el segundo cuarto, lleno de adrenalina, el cambio de batería en ambos equipos, le dio un giro casi completo, por poco, Águilas toma la delantera terminando este cuarto con el marcador 18 a 16 a favor de Yaguaraparo.

Águilas batalló por mantenerse y tuvo mejor control del balón y de las jugadas dentro de la cancha, a mitad de juego ambos equipos estaban dando todo por el todo, nadie quería perder, cuando Águilas llegó a estar por encima de Yaguaraparo, estos reaccionaron de inmediato y los igualaron terminando el tercer cuarto a 22. Lamentablemente, la hora para Yaguaraparo estaba contada para trasladarse a la ciudad de Cumaná para su encuentro con esa delegación, por la cual no se pudo terminar este juego amistoso, quedando en un empate oficial.
