Books and flowers necklace (esp/eng)

¡Hola mis queridos Hivers! En esta ocasión quiero compartirles mi participación para la linda comunidad de Jewelry en su concurso del Feliz Retorno a Clases. Fui invitada al concurso por la bella @blanca56 y por supuesto puse en marcha mi creatividad, así que diseñé un bonito collar donde el protagonista son los libros, ya que que son una parte sumamente importante en la educación, además añadí elementos como flores, como símbolo de desarrollo a través del conocimiento y también presenta la icónica manzana roja (que se regala a los maestros) coronando la pieza, recordando el amor que se tiene por los educadores. Invito a mis amigas @sarangzg7, @mily23m y @celely a participar con sus ideas maravillosas.

Hello my dear Hivers! This time I want to share with you my participation for the nice Jewelry community in their Happy Back to School contest. I was invited to the contest by the beautiful @blanca56 and of course I put my creativity to work, so I designed a nice necklace where the protagonist are books, since they are an extremely important part in education, I also added elements like flowers, as a symbol of development through knowledge and it also features the iconic red apple (which is given to teachers) crowning the piece, remembering the love for educators. I invite my friends @sarangzg7, @mily23m and @celely to participate with their wonderful ideas.

Materiales:

• Porcelana fría (ocre, verde, marrón, rosa, blanco, rojo)
• Pegamento blanco
• Alfiler de ojo
• Estecas
• Pintura al frío amarilla
• Pincel fino
• Aro metálico
• Collar tipo guaya
• Top coat
• Lámpara UV/LED

Procedimiento:

Comenzamos tomando una porción de porcelana fría color blanco, hacemos una forma un poco como un cilindro, aplanamos y procedemos a cortar tres rectángulos de tamaños similares, no es necesario que sean exactamente iguales pero tampoco puede haber una diferencia exagerada.

Materials:

• Cold porcelain (ochre, green, brown, brown, pink, white, red).
• White glue
• Eye pin
• Pins
• Yellow cold paint
• Fine brush
• Metallic ring
• Necklace type guaya
• Top coat
• UV/LED lamp

Procedure:

We start by taking a portion of cold porcelain white color, we make a shape a bit like a cylinder, flatten and proceed to cut three rectangles of similar sizes, it is not necessary that they are exactly the same but there can not be an exaggerated difference either.

Luego tomaremos cada rectángulo blanco y texturizaremos tres de sus lados, los dos más cortos y uno de los más largos con el bisturí, para así representar las hojas de los libros.

Then we will take each white rectangle and texture three of its sides, the two shortest and one of the longest with the scalpel, to represent the leaves of the books.

Ahora aplanaremos una porción de porcelana fría color ocre, esta debe ser bastante fina ya que es para hacer la cubierta del libro, cortaremos de forma recta tres de sus lados, posicionaremos un rectángulo blanco en uno de los extremos cuidando que la parte con textura esté “mirando” hacia el extremo externo, para continuar envolviendo la pieza con el resto del ocre, al lograrlo, cortamos el excedente y moldeamos un poco los bordes para que se vea más prolijo. También con el punzón hacemos dos muescas en el lomo del libro.

Now we will flatten a portion of ochre colored cold porcelain, this should be quite thin since it is to make the cover of the book, we will cut straight three of its sides, we will place a white rectangle at one of the ends taking care that the textured part is “looking” towards the outer end, to continue wrapping the piece with the rest of the ochre, when we achieve it, we cut the excess and mold the edges a little to make it look neater. Also with the punch we make two notches on the spine of the book.

Este procedimiento lo repetiremos para el color verde y para el color marrón, obteniendo tres libros en total.

We will repeat this procedure for the green color and for the brown color, obtaining three books in total.

Con algo de pegamento, los colocaremos uno sobre el otro formando una torre. Yo los he posicionado de distintas maneras porque me parece que así se ve más dinámico.

With some glue, we will place them one on top of the other forming a tower. I have positioned them in different ways because I think it looks more dynamic.

Acto seguido, introducimos el alfiler de ojo, previamente debemos agregar un poco de pegamento para que quede adherido dentro de la pieza.

Next, we introduce the eye pin, previously we must add a little glue so that it remains adhered inside the piece.

Para aportar detalles, simbolismos y feminidad, añadiremos flores, estas la haremos moldeando una esfera miniatura en color rosado, a la misma la aplanaremos, le haremos cuatro cortes con el bisturí, estos estarán uno frente al otro pero en los extremos del círculo, no deben seccionar la pieza hasta el medio, finalmente le daremos detalles a cada pétalo con el punzón y la adheriremos con pegamento en el lugar que más nos guste de nuestros libros. Repetiremos esto para llenar de flores tanto como deseemos, yo he colocado flores en dos tonos distintos de rosado.

To add details, symbolism and femininity, we will add flowers, these will be made by molding a miniature sphere in pink, we will flatten it, we will make four cuts with the scalpel, these will be one in front of the other but at the ends of the circle, they should not section the piece to the middle, finally we will give details to each petal with the punch and we will adhere it with glue in the place that we like the most in our books. We will repeat this to fill with flowers as much as we want, I have placed flowers in two different shades of pink.

Ahora tomaremos un poquito de porcelana fría color ocre con el punzón y lo colocaremos en el centro de cada flor, también le daremos textura con el punzón como si le hiciésemos puntitos (con delicadeza).

Now we will take a little bit of ochre colored cold porcelain with the punch and we will place it in the center of each flower, we will also give it texture with the punch as if we were making dots (delicately).

Para terminar, añadimos una manzana que haremos moldeando una esferita de porcelana fría color rojo, la pegaremos en los alto d ellos libros con el punzón y ya con este habremos formado el hundimiento característico que tienen estas frutas.

To finish, we add an apple that we will make by molding a small sphere of cold red porcelain, we will stick it on the top of the books with the punch and with this we will have formed the characteristic sinking that these fruits have.

También añadimos hojas junto a las flores y una sobre la manzana, para estas, hacemos una forma de gota pequeñita, la aplanamos y damos textura con el punzón y la colocamos donde la necesitemos.

We also add leaves next to the flowers and one on the apple, for these, we make a small drop shape, flatten it and give it texture with the punch and place it where we need it.

Hice unas líneas amarillas finas con pintura al frío un pincel, aplicamos Top coat y curamos en lámpara y así se ven sus distintos lados:

Luego la unimos a la guaya con un arito y así se ve en uso:
