My Entry to the Phone Photography - Contest 70

in Feel Good8 days ago (edited)

It was a bit overcast this morning as I took a stroll in Whitesprings Forest, a mix of conifer trees, woodland, moorland, and grassland. It was the perfect walking weather.

I made my way to the stone stile that was being overtaken by nature. I didn’t go through it as its all downhill from there on. I find if you go downhill you have to come back up again!

Along the stonewall there are lovely views of the fields.

There is a single pretty rowan tree in the middle of the field with red berries on it.

I carried on through the wooded area. It had a feel of autumn about it.

At this point, I regretted not bringing my proper camera as I spotted lots of butterflies. I haven't seen many red admirals this year. Yet, on this hemp shrub, there were lots. I was very surprised they allowed me to get close to them to take a few photos with my mobile but they didn't seem to be too bothered. They were sharing the shrub with a few bees.

I did a circlular walk getting back on to the dirt track at the beginning of my walk. Even though the rosebay willowherb is a weed, I thought the pink looked really good next to the grey stonewall.

Thank you to @untilwelearn for running the #phonephotography competition.

and you were right.. it looks great.. I also love the photo of the rowan tree..
and by the way, the butterflies and the bees were too busy to notice you 😁,, they might be overwhelmed by the juicy nectar..

hope you can go back there and bring your camera so you can share more pictures of those tiny creatures..
Have a great day @ellenripley

Thank you very much, you too!
