Merry Frosty The Watermelon Man!!! NEW BassCam GoPro Series Nov 2 2025

Welcome to the start of a new Joseph’s BassCam performance video series.

This Josephs BassCam footage is from November 2, 2025 and a performance with the Jazz Derelicts at popular SoCal brewery.

Song: “Watermelon Man”, you know how the Jazz Derelicts start. Fruit Salad, maybe someday I won’t record it. When I do stop… something is gonna’ do a thing and I will wish i had just pressed… FOMO!!!!!

I hate batteries, but anyway, I quickly reached down and pressed the shutter button and started recording while we were in the middle of transitioning between the previous song.

Gear (light list):

This is some of the gear. Not much changes for the situation except maybe the camera. I don't use the five string with this band… yet. This might transform into a camera section. I've talked about most of my gear already, but the camera dynamic seems to be in constant fuct… oops i meant to type “flux.”


GoPro: Hero 11 Black Mini on a suction cup and goose next mount. This camera and the suction cup mount are awesome. Lots of people online don't like the camera for reasons why I do like it. Shutter buttons easy to start. The functionality in the camera software is useful to me. The two different mounts brackets on the camera or versatile. The beeps can be turned off. I'm glad there's no screen and other people hate that. Lots of reviews criticize lack of screen. I find it distracting. Maybe if I was dealing with lots of other cameras and doing lots of editing I would have a different opinion. My biggest complaint is the weak battery. It's used. Regarding Design complaints, I wish there was another light on the back of the camera and I wish it didn't get so warm/hot. I ain't mad I just wanna know what to expect. I brought back up, but I didn't have time to get it out of the little baggie behind my amplifier. I know it to work on. #ItsNotEnoughToJustPlayYourInstrument.

Bass: Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe 4 String… also known as “Bread and Butter.”

Beer: “Avalon” a West Coast Pilsner• 5.2% ABV hopped w/ Krush, Nelson, Simcoe, & Krush Quantum. Great flavor not too sweet, and not too boozy.

Pizza: Only one slice this time. I ate it while I was in the middle of setting up and moving the car. I wasn’t late or in a rush. Too humble and not interested in getting pizza fingers on my everythings n stuffz.

Cat Hair: In my underwear and everywhere. When I wave hello it flies off of my elbow. When I say goodbye, I can see hairs swooshing like a wake in the light from the corner of my eye.
