Lining up new season hyacinth orchids in Blackbutt Creek : November 7 2025

An at home day waiting for some deliveries. Plan is to head south once the deliveries are done

Did give me time for a walk down to Blackbutt Creek - one house sold down our street - was a new sale

House has become a mish mash of styles

It is the edge of hyacinth orchid season. ID challenge - no spots- dark spike - tell you in a week

Cannot recall the ID but di known it is an invasive species

Bark shedding time for the eucalyptus - two possibilities - summer incoming or stress building

Budding hyacinth orchids - maybe two weeks

Somewhat wrinkled flannel flowers

Budding bonnet orchids. This bud is quite close to the leaf. There is often a gap.

Next up - hyacinth orchid spike - spike is much darker than the last one - suggests a different type

The lizard let me walk right by to talk photos. The other 4 skedaddled

Stuff got delivered. Made the drive down to South Coast. Had dinner in the bowling club. That was mediocre but someone else cooked
