Oh, what a day and a nice result achieved - My Actifit Report Card: November 7 2025

in Actifit12 days ago

When we set off from Szeged to Hungary this morning, the sky did not promise a nice day.
It was gloomy and it was raining lightly. When we crossed the border, the clouds parted and the sky was covered in blue and sunshine.
It was perfect weather for a walk.
And that's why we walked.
It's not excessive, but considering that we walk a maximum of 10,000 steps per day, today's achievement is not negligible.

We walked along the river, along the streets next to buildings with interesting facades, and we took short breaks near some points of interest, monuments or cathedrals.

One of the monuments that I saw for the first time is this metal one on the bank of the river Tisza, and the years 1879 and 1979 mark when it was erected, in commemoration of the centenary of the flood, when the swollen Tisza destroyed the city completely.

Austro-Hungarian emperor, with the help of the kings of major European countries, rebuilt the entire city, making it a modern city, worthy of a capital.
If it wasn't for that flood in 1879, Szeged would probably not be as wonderful and beautiful today, with wide boulevards and spacious squares as it is today.

Considering that we have just arrived today, and that we have a few more days to stay in this beautiful city, I will probably share with you some more photos and moments that I recorded in Szeged, with, I believe, a lot less steps 🙂
