Intense workout with some progress... my training diary entry from December 8 2025

(Just before we reached the highest point of our Saturday hike, I was able to take this beautiful photo. Unfortunately, photos don't even begin to capture the reality of these impressive scenes.)

Hi Actifitters,

today I finally got back to some serious exercise. As planned, I first completed my push-up workout, followed by a sweaty hour on the Wahoo Kickr.

Again I was not able to make progress in regular push-ups as you can see in the following tables.

My current goal:

set 1set 2set 3set 4set 5break between sets

Although I only managed the same number of push-ups, I actually felt stronger than last time. I'm very confident that I won't be stuck in a rut for a fourth time.

In terms of close grip push-ups I could do one more than last time. Here are the values in tables.

After these two exercises I also made three sets of shoulder presses with dumbbells.

I finished the training day with a 59 minutes session on the bycicle to work on my threshold. I was sweating a lot but I felt strong and would have been able to do more.


After yesterday's great training session, I'm looking forward to a very active week overall. Unfortunately, I can only do one workout today because I have a long day at the office, but that's okay. The day after tomorrow, in addition to strength training, I'll also be back on my bike.
