V National Conference on Sustainability in the Legislature / V Conferência Nacional de Sustentabilidade no Legislativo [eng/pt] (#AroundTheWorld challenge / Meu Relatório Actifit: maio 26 2025)

Greetings, sympathizers! Taking advantage of today's activity points to talk a little about work and to make my #aroundTheWorld entry for my friend @bucipuci.

I had the pleasure of participating in the V National Conference on Sustainability in the Legislature, moderating a panel on Sustainable Public Governance: integrating socio-environmental responsibility in management and decision-making.

It was a very special moment; there were three female panelists, each with a lot of content to present, but only 10 minutes of speaking time for each. My main mission was to not exceed the panel's time, as the event was running about an hour late in the schedule, which we ended up recovering at the expense of the debate time, as it was already past 12:30 PM, work would resume at 1:30 PM, and people needed to have lunch.

This morning took place in the Petrônio Portela auditorium, with a capacity for 500 people, but with reduced occupancy to this front part of the seats, which accommodate about 200 people:

In the afternoon, I needed to resolve some work matters, so I followed it on YouTube:

The program I coordinate, A3P - Environmental Agenda in Public Administration - was cited several times; many institutions are part of the Legislative Sustainability Network and our Network, which welcomes institutions from the 3 Powers (Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary) from the 3 Spheres (Federal, State, and Municipal).

Some very interesting things I saw at this improvised stand of the accessibility commission staff: Glasses that photograph and describe the image or read text to visually impaired people. It's called OrCam MyEye.
There was also a Braille calendar:

The event is being excellent - it continues tomorrow, May 28, 25 - worthy of the "Upper House" of the Brazilian Legislative Power, also bringing together state and municipal spheres, with much work developed in favor of sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility. ♻️🌎

Tive o prazer de participar da V Conferência Nacional de Sustentabilidade no Legislativo, mediando uma mesa sobre Governança Pública Sustentável: integrando responsabilidade socioambiental na gestão e na tomada de decisões .

Foi um momento muito especial, eram três painelistas mulheres, cada uma com muito conteúdo pra apresentar, mas apenas 10 minutos de fala para cada. Minha principal missão era não estourarmos o tempo da mesa, já que o evento estava atrasado cerca de uma hora na programação, o que acabamos recuperando às custas do momento de debate, pois já passava das 12h30, os trabalhos retornarias às 13h30 e o pessoal precisava almoçar.

À tarde, precisei resolver umas questões de trabalho, então acompanhei pelo Youtube:

O programa que coordeno a A3P - Agenda Ambiental na Administração Pública - foi citado várias vezes, muitas instituições fazem parte da Rede de Sustentabilidade do Legislativo e da nossa Rede, que acolhe instituições dos 3 Poderes (Legislativo, Executivo e Judiciário) das 3 Esferas (Federal, Estadual e Municipal).

Algumas coisas muito interessantes que eu vi nesse estande improvisado do pessoal da comissão de acessibilidade: Um óculos que fotografa e descreve a imagem ou lê algum texto para a pessoa deficiente visual. Chama OrCam MyEye.
Também tinha um calendário em braille:

O evento está sendo excelente - continua amanhã, 28/mai/25 - digno da "Câmara Alta" do Poder Legislativo brasileiro, congregando também as esferas estaduais e municipais, com muito trabalho desenvolvido em prol da sustentabilidade e da responsabilidade socioambiental.♻️🌎
