Thank God It's Saturday! Finally my favorite day of the week is here .. Saturday mornings is for playing football with the boys. It's the moment I get to stretch my legs and keep my body fit just by playing football.
Usually I hit the pitch once I'm done with my routine physical fitness exercises which includes sit-ups, pushups and lifting of dumbbells . The pitch is a five minutes drive from my house . Once I get to the pitch I jog round it for about 5-10 minutes . This helps to get my body fit and active for the incoming intense football actions .
We usually play a 5-aside set gameplay with 10 minutes interval. Teams are usually selected at random using a ballot system. This happens to be fair and square as everyone gets a team to play for .
Last week I failed to get a goal after a long while of hitting the net. This week I hope to get a goal and if I don't I hope I'm able to help my team to achieve convincing wins .
It's amazing how a few hours of football can boost my mood and boost my energy levels. Plus, it’s a great way to catch up with friends and meet new ones who share the same passion. No matter how intense the game gets, the joy of playing with friends makes it all worthwhile.
