❤️ National Choir Day in Venezuela ❤️

Para comenzar les pido que no se pierdan este video que les he dejado arriba, ese es el sonido de mi país Venezuela expresado a través de voces que imitan el cuatro y el arpa. Es una de las composiciones más poderosas y de alto nivel para coros y se titula Aires de Golpe Tuyero, del Maestro Gilberto Rebolledo. Este video es de nuestra presentación en Comillas, Cantabria, específicamente en la Universidad Pontificia y se llevó a cabo el Martes 26 de Julio de 2024, el día más feliz de mi vida, y vaya que tenía mucho tiempo con ganas de compartir estas imágenes acá en Hive, pero hoy definitivamente es el día perfecto.

Hace dos años fui parte del momento exacto en que aprobó que el 15 de Julio era oficialmente el Día del Canto Coral en Venezuela. En ese momento pude ver a diversos Maestros, coralistas y directores corales de renombre participar y emocionarse por ese evento. Para mí fue gratificante, pero con el paso del tiempo es que voy entiendo su importancia, y es que casi todas las profesiones tienen un día en que celebran con honor y orgullo, incluso como músicos tenemos nuestro día especial, pero un día para los coralistas como tal no existía, y ahora siempre hay una nueva excusa para encontrarnos, celebrar, y lo más importante, seguir haciendo historia coral en Venezuela.

Esta tarde nos reuniremos algunos representantes del movimiento coral en Caracas, el Orfeón Universitario de la UCV, el Orfeón Libertador y la Coral Nacional Simón Bolívar, además de mis queridos paisanos de Aragua, los Madrigalistas y Audite Coro de Cámara del Estado Carabobo en el Teatro Nacional. Tenemos mucha música que compartir, inspirado en aquella primera generación de arreglistas y compositores para coro de la Escuela de Santa Capilla, resaltando los madrigales. Si eres Hiver aquí en Caracas y lees este post a tiempo te invito a acercarte a las 4 de la tarde, pero también cantaremos mañana en nuestro Centro Nacional de Acción Social por la Música a la misma hora, pero en Quebrada Onda.

Sé que no soy el único coralista aquí en Hive, pero tampoco recuerdo a todas las personas que lo son, pero aprovecho de felicitar con mucho cariño a quienes lo disfrutan tanto como yo, personas como @eugelys, @mirel0510, @manujune, mi esposa @jhoxiris y mis amigos de la coral aquí en Hive @kimberlycmq, @karlaquinviolin y @douglasdaniel. To begin with, I urge you not to miss the video I have posted above. It is the sound of my country, Venezuela, expressed through voices that imitate the cuatro and the harp. It is one of the most powerful and sophisticated compositions for choirs and is entitled Aires de Golpe Tuyero, by Maestro Gilberto Rebolledo. This video is from our performance in Comillas, Cantabria, specifically at the Pontifical University, which took place on Tuesday, July 26, 2024, the happiest day of my life. I have been wanting to share these images here on Hive for a long time, but today is definitely the perfect day.

Two years ago, I was part of the exact moment when July 15 was officially approved as Choral Singing Day in Venezuela. At that time, I was able to see various renowned maestros, choristers, and choral directors participate and get excited about the event. It was gratifying for me, but as time has passed, I have come to understand its importance. Almost all professions have a day when they celebrate with honor and pride. Even as musicians, we have our special day, but a day for choir singers as such did not exist. Now there is always a new excuse to get together, celebrate, and most importantly, continue making choral history in Venezuela.

This afternoon, some representatives of the choral movement in Caracas, the Orfeón Universitario de la UCV, the Orfeón Libertador, and the Coral Nacional Simón Bolívar, as well as my dear compatriots from Aragua, the Madrigalistas, and the Audite Coro de Cámara del Estado Carabobo will meet at the National Theater. We have a lot of music to share, inspired by that first generation of arrangers and composers for choir from the Escuela de Santa Capilla, highlighting madrigals. If you are a Hiver here in Caracas and you read this post in time, I invite you to come at 4 p.m., but we will also sing tomorrow at our Centro Nacional de Acción Social por la Música at the same time, but in Quebrada Onda.
