Null: Ezekiel - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

Good evening everyone!

In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Eazy-er Said That Dunn from the legendary gangsta rapper Eazy-E.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Null from the electronic artist Ezekiel.

Recently, I have brought a wide range of genres to my posts, such as rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, country, soul, hip-hop, blues, pop, and the occasional piece of classical music composed for a video game. One of the genres I've ended up featuring very few songs from is electronic music and all its subgenres, which I'm honestly unfamiliar with, except for dubstep, since I've featured Skrillex on a few occasions.

The song I'm going to feature is also a subgenre of electronic music that I'm really unfamiliar with because I'm out of touch with that whole world. To be completely honest, I only had two periods where I listened to electronic music, and both were during my teenage years. The first period was when the famous kid rat music that was Skrillex started to become popular, and I clearly listened to it at that time. Then I started to take notice of some electronic music DJs like Martin Garrix, but it never went beyond that.

So all the electronic music I've ended up listening to lately has been thanks to video games. It's not just this genre; I've discovered many songs that weren't from my era thanks to them. My first example is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, a game that offered me a wide variety of radio stations playing jazz, country, rock, and hip-hop. That musical diversity was quite important to me because, over time, it ended up defining many of my tastes and preferences.

I discovered today's song thanks to the music menu in one of the video games I've spent the most time playing recently: Rocket League. It's always had a metal and electronic music style, so its menus have always been filled with music from alternative artists in these genres. In fact, I discovered an English band that I ended up really liking called Koven.

I was recently on voice chat with a friend and as I was logging into the video game, I was surprised by a song that appeared in the menu. I liked it so much that I took the trouble to look up the name of the song. I had to check an updated wiki until I finally found the song I chose for today: Null by the artist Ezekiel.

Before moving on to the stats table I compiled for this post, I'll share my Rising Star game stats, which I compiled using a tool I created on my Rising Star Utils website.
