A skill that made a great impact in my life.

Namaste my lovely bestie, how are we fairing and i hope are all good in our different places in the world at large. Am glad to participate in this week's contest and which is an interesting one.

During my days in the university, it got to the time for my IT ( industrial training), then i started looking for a space to do my IT, i went to companies and hospitals for a space for the training but no vacancy, to extend i was told to pay so as to be trained which by right its supposed to be taught free of charge. I was so tired and devastated after several trial to look where to do my training all to no avail.

One faithful day I was coming back home from one of my usual hunt which a failed, i came across this company that produces paints, being tired and I have no option than to enter and there i met the manager, we talked and he agreed to train me and luckily the distance it's not far from my lodge. The next day i started my training.

On my first day of training, i noticed i was the only female working at the production room. I was discouraged at a point and some of friends laughed at me for doing that kind of dirty work and that its might for men. On a second taught i embrace courage that what a man can do a woman can do even better

Thank God i never regret taking that bold step from the training, i was taught different kinds of paints, i was taught how to use the right quantity of chemicals and which materials to use to produce a particular paint, how to combine different colours of paint to achieve a unique one. I learnt how to use the machine to mix the colours, even how to do printing on the bucket, infact i learnt a lot. Sometimes I joined to paint when we have outdoor work.

Last year when we want to do some renovations at the village, I went to the market and I bought some chemicals and some colours i used in producing a paint. I do get work from family and friends that needs my services. I was able to achieve that because i have a knowledge of it.

To am super happy that I learnt the skill then because it has a great impact in my life, which am not regretting abit. I can use it as side hustle anytime, anywhere i have a contract . This Painting i learnt as a skill has really helped me to sort out my bills then in school and currently. No regret at all.
