The skill that changed my life

Greetings!

Skill acquisition is one thing that we should acquire as humans and this is because, if we are left with nothing, there's one thing that will continue to live with us and that's our skill.

I have seen people getting retired from active service, but because of the skill they have acquired over the years, they are still relevant to themselves and to their community. That's the power of skill acquisition.

Having talked about skill and its acquisition, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “The skill that changed my life.”

Hmmm, I have learnt about so many skills, but there's this one that changed my life for good and that skill is the fashion designing skill.

Before now, I knew nothing about measurement, cutting or sewing of clothing materials, but one thing is that I love to look good and in my good, there's this priority I gave to putting on good clothes.

So, my love for putting on good clothing material prompted and dragged me into having a passion for fashion designing and this made me learn it.

Although when I started to learn it, it wasn't easy for me to join it with my teaching job, but with time, I was able to blend the two together and it didn't take me more time to learn and know the rudiments of the skill.

So. After I had learnt and knew the skill, I started sewing good looking styles for myself and this is what people, most especially my friends, are seeing on me that prompted them to ask me who designed my clothes for me.

I told them that I am the one that designed it by and for myself, but they couldn't even believe me, one of them even told me to take me to my designer, but I told him to bring his clothing material and choose a style with his measurements and he did accordingly.

After he had done this, I took the clothing material and sewed for him and when I gave him his clothes after I had sewn it, he was happy because this looked good on him.

So, that's how the fashion designing skill I have learnt and known overtime helped to add to my source of income and what I realized as income from it is more than what my salary job is giving me and I have done more projects with it than what I have done with my salary earnings.
