Chapter 1.
Abike was the only daughter of the Adeleke's. A beautiful, intelligent and smart girl as uncle Taiwo the chef would always say to her.
Abike was born into the family when everyone has given up on the cry of a female child in the household of Mr. and Mrs. Jude Adeleke.
The Adeleke's as they were fondly called in the community cherished Abike with all they had. Her brothers all adored her, she was the last but the gold amidst all the Adelekes kids. Abike had five senior brothers jide, Kemi, Femi, Dare and Bolu; they did almost all things in common as one and always protected themselves.
Well; Abike was given birth to when all her elder brothers where in the university. So she was distinctly the baby of the house. Abi as the family fondly called her grew alone, but Abi was rude, disrespectful and proud to people, especially those who were below her league both children and adult. Hence she grew with a silver spoon in her mouth she ended up seeing those who had little or none as below her.
She candidly belittled people and mocked their financial inabilities.
When the act started at first Mrs. Modupe Abikes mother assumed she was just a little child and commonised statements and attitudes from her to people. Her dad Mr. Jude would randomly caution her, hoping she would actually out grown it since nobody had such dirty and naughty attitude in the family line or behaved as such to anyone from their family including Abi's Elder brothers. Little did they knew that they where in for an episode to unfold as her disrespect got to a point where she would purposely ask and threaten; Sir. Korede her driver to splash dirt water on her class teacher simple because she was flogged for bullying her classmate at school, she would always go to the school canteen to mock those selling things, and also remind them how miserably dressed they where.
At a point most people dared not pass same road with her even in the street; for fear of being bullied by either words or actions.
Yes Abike Purity Adeleke was beautiful and intelligent; but her wrong attitude took the better part of her. People forgot about her beauty and labeled her the bully. Abi herself took pride in hurting others and saw it as an hobby to afflict pain on people. She randomly would make proper use of any gotten oppurtunity to hurt her fellow student. She attended Precious Seed high School and One good thing about her was that; her attitude didn't affect her performances in class and she always made her parents proud in her education.
Despite how rude and disrespectful she was; her parent would always make sure she attended service in church and hears the word of God; hoping that she would change one day and become a better person for herself, the community and the family, including the society at large. They also took turns in advicing Abike, laying emphasis on the benefit and importance of humility to a person; hoping that Abi would change for good one day.
The Adeleke's did not give up on their only daughter and sister, they fought to make her a better person, and saw her as a rare gem in respective of her
