Let’s make Hive easier and more rewarding for everyone!

Sort:

Hello, I'd love to take number 14; owning/creating a community. Having recently contributed to the setup of a new community using the Ecency frontend, I've gained hands-on experience with its inner workings and it will be an honor to assist.

To start, a blog post.

Please join the 3Speak Discord: https://discord.gg/NSFS2VGj83

We have created a special channel for these tasks.

Hi! This is great, could blog about most of them but to pick one and do it well. I’d pick number 9. It should be nice researching and talking about games on Hive. I believe there should be so much to uncover there.

Some feedback on that:
When talking about Hive as a platform, it's Hive.
But HIVE as an asset is HIVE, i.e. blogging on Hive, but sending 0.5 HIVE
:-)

I would avoid tasks related to sending to exchanges (self-custody ftw!) and focus on the internal market instead.
On the other hand, educating people on how CEX deposits/withdrawals look might save some victims of arbitrage scams, etc. Also, touching the Active Key should be way, way after mastering the social side of things with the Posting Key.
Some of them aren't really good newbie tasks and could be confusing; i.e. I wouldn't require voting for 30 witnesses, but 25, and either that or setting a proxy, otherwise we'll confuse the user. Claiming account tokens is also not for newbies.
On the other hand - understanding Resource Credits - that's something good to know.

Thanks @gtg, we have updated the Hive HIVE comments here.
This list is an initial starting point, but agreed, we should prioritise non CEX swaps instead of exchange swaps, or at least make sure both options are included

Yes, some of the tasks you mentioned are somewhat advanced and we do want to keep this list for newbs only, so probably worth moving things like account creation token claims to a more advanced lesson set.

We'd argue keeping transfers fairly early on, as many IRL newbies are coming into Hive via SpendHBD initiative ATM and they need to know how to move money even before they post most of the time.

Especially "Claim account creation tickets." will need a bunch of staked hive which is maybe OK for a new User but as mentioned should be the focus only on getting warm with all the amazing things we have here. Ur totally right.

Loading...

Interesting. Looks like a bunch of crossings with the hivebuzz.me Tour of a Profile.

image.png

Already 78 tasks a user can do.

Yes, The tour is a great starting point. Much of this (but not all) was taken from there. Now it needs breaking down into step by step instructions for desktop and mobile users in the simplest form possible. Each step should result in a blog being published so that the newbie can learn and earn #Learn2Earn

The idea is that they:

  1. Check in with a trusted hivean (and earn) using the checinwithapp which is about to be released
  2. Then they are directed to these 15 tasks, as they complete the tasks they earn hive via votes
  3. At the end of the process the ones that performed very well and kept much of their stake get delegations.

This should result in retained users and a track-able chart of on-boards vs retentions

The idea is of course, that as they complete each task and blog about it, they should simultaneously be informed from @hivebuzz that they have moved to the next achievement, so the learning process goes hand in hand with Hive Buzz status and tour program

I’ll be more than happy to help with Number 4. I have written about engagement on Hive before and I’d love to expatiate on it.
I have good knowledge of markdown styles as well.

There is a typo:
I think it should be: @coldbeetrootsoup

image.png

Good idea, congrats.

Really great initiative! I will be on the lookout for new Waves users and will encourage them!

I'm down for this, will try my best..

I'll work on this.

❤️ Perfect 🥳

Let’s do this. Although I have made a post and video on how to use 3speak before some long time ago so I’ll just focus on other area

I’ll like to work on mastering being social on hive

Add an entry in the hive-native wiki @propolis.wiki https://propol.is . Maybe just a link to your master post or put all the links in the wiki.

Sorry but i personally very reluctant to download apps

Hello, @threespeak this is amazing work you're doing.... I’d be glad and very interested in contributing to number 5....How to Easily Earn HIVE. I've recently been carrying these tasks on hive-echo on both reddit and Twitter

Thank you!

To start, a blog post.

Please join the 3Speak Discord: https://discord.gg/NSFS2VGj83

We have created a special channel for these tasks.

Hello
It seems number 16 and 17 haven't been assigned to anyone yet. I would love to take anyone of them. 17 if possible. And could you help me with the name of the channel that was created for these tasks on the server? Thank you.

This is super duper good. I'd like to know if one chooses a number title to write on, they'll complete all the sub headings?

Since this is the first job and an important step on the platform, I would like to talk about the topic of presentations 🤓.
More work for Hive 😃 Great 🥳😎.

I would like to write about introduction of newbies on HIVE.

A great initiative!
I don't think I'm capable of making a tutorial yet, so for now I hope to learn a lot from everything that will emerge from here.
Thank you so much for this kind of initiative!

Excelente.

Hello @threespeak thanks for assigning number 4 to me but my username was wrongly spelt so I didn’t get notified. It’s “ibbtammy”🙂

I can do 11 but one question, is it okay if I talk about how awesome comment rewarder is while I do so?

Also woudl you want a blog post or vid, or both?

Number 13. Taking part in Governance. Now where can we find this Digital Community Manifesto? I've never actually seen one being tossed around Hive. If this thing doesn't exist yet, it should!

I see 15 playlists on the Hive YouTube channel covering all of these topics with shorts.

Hi, I'm in for now number 1

It's really a great initiative. I highly appreciate everyone's work. It will be very beneficial for the newbies. Thank you 3speak.

This is a great initiative to guide new users, and I would love to be part of it.

I would like to know if there is a deadline for submission.

Nice initiative! I would like to apply as the author for the Advanced Posting.

Please join the 3Speak Discord: https://discord.gg/NSFS2VGj83

We have created a special channel for these tasks.

A newbie can either choose any of this and do it or go ahead and do all of them

Hi, I want to start with the first one - is there a deadline?
If noone comes after that, I wish to continue with number 2, and 3 - but for number 3 I want to confirm that it is with ecency wallet (you will need both mobile and desktop version?)

Please join the 3Speak Discord: https://discord.gg/NSFS2VGj83

We have created a special channel for these tasks.

Thanks, will do shortly!

It is a very good initiative, I'm sure it will have good results. Very good how they divided the articles in sections, great.

I will take this initiative as a signal to do the same, but in Spanish for all Latam users.

I have several years in Hive and good knowledge in markdown, if I can help in something let me know!

Greetings and blessings,

// SPANISH //

Saludos y bendiciones,

I think num 12 should be fully emphasize the use of RC and HP with how the reward system on post works is a vital topic as lots of newbies ask questions related to these areas. I really love and appreciate your work 😊

yes, agreed, see task 12, we have updated task 3 to include a bit about RC's too

Hello, I’d love to help with number 16, Refresher blog.

Hello I'd love to take number 15... it will be of great joy to contribute my quota to this knowledge bank of helping newbie find their footing on hive ...

Yes, I understand why the idea of AegisPad FE with AI models hosted on a server seemed cool at first - cost reduction always sounds good. But if you dive into the technical side of the issue, hosting AI models requires serious GPU power, and a regular VPS simply cannot handle it. I once considered high-performance vps server such as Vikhost for a project - they are reliable, but even they can quickly become expensive if you increase AI workloads. Sometimes cloud-based AI services simply turn out to be more practical.
