When you start off in Rising Star, your level is low and the only mission you can do is Illegal Busking. As time goes on and you keep playing, you can do missions that will take longer, require more energy, and yield more Starbits.
If you buy cards, it will improve the number of starbits you get. In my opinion, the least expensive way to buy cards is a 12 pack bought with starbits. It is 100,000 starbits. Starbits are cheaper than they have been for a while at the moment by the way. Should you buy some cards? That is for you to decide.
I have been playing since October and I now have my Starbits millionaire card. You get that by reaching level 50 and acquiring a million starbits on hive engine, either through purchase or winning them. Then you ask for the card on the rising star discord and they give it to you. This enables you to go on one millionaire mission per day, which earns 10,000 starbits.
