I know that I am late to the game and the "Introduce Yourself" posts are probably meant for people new to Hive and I get that. But as a Millennial who grew up with Xbox Achievements and ADHD.. I can't just ignore this glaring issues on HiveBuzz....

But enough of that. Let me write a Introductory Post that is WORTHY of the Title!

Hi My Name is...

I am TrocProcLock, also known as Cherokee4Life, also known as SwagnarRagnar, also known as Witness4All.

I go by many names....

But they are all me, and I am them. Jeez that's deep. Anyways.

I created my cherokee4life hive account on.. (quickly looks through his Hive history) January 2020! Or at least that is what HiveBlocks tells me anyways.

Jeez I am 71 Moons old, I think my back just started to hurt 😁

History

I originally created my @cherokee4life account to play Splinterlands back in January 2020. I had a blast with it. I played on/off until roughly early 2023. Then I realized I was stretched way to thin in the Crypto space so I stopped all things Hive. But in January 2025.. I got back into Hive and I have dove into the deep end with Hive.

My @witness4all account was made to be my Hive Witness Node account. Yup I run my own Node for the Hive blockchain!

I also run my own Discord server. It's nothing fancy but me and my web3 friends just hang out and shoot the shit about anything Hive Blockchain related, WAX Blockchain related, or just anything in general. We are all there to chit chat and help each other. It's a fun place to be (I may be biased a little)

Splinterlands

I just got 31 packs of Conclave Arcana and am stoked with my rewards. I am going all in on Splinterlands, so much so that I have my new alt account @swagnar-ragnar that will be my main playing account in Modern I think and my @cherokee4life account will now start to play WILD since Chaos Legion is in Wild.

I am no whale but I do have left over remnents from when I started playing Splinterlands 5 years ago

I also have 6 Plots of Land in the Dryae Tor region and always looking to add more!

Future Plans

I have LOFTY ambitions for my time here on Hive. I won't get into ALL of them but I will list out a general idea of where I want to end up.

I have a Witness Node running. It's just barely running though so I am working on another box every day to fine tune the process and build out a perfect How to Guide for you all so that you too can run your own Hive Witness Node. All the information is readily available online but I have yet to find a clear detailed Guide on how to setup a Node from start to finish with all the bells and whistles.

So that is my first major hurdle that I am going to tackle. I have already spent probably 100 hours working on my Node and figuring out what works, what doesn't work, what works with what, etc etc.

I am even resyncing the blockchain from scratch right now so I can test 1 thing out. So hurry up and wait for 48 hours just to test 1 thing lol that seems logical 😁

I had an idea too (this may never come to fruition so keep that in mind) to basically have my Witness Node spin up process so dialed in that I could buy some mini PC's (intel NUCs) and setup the software and get the blockchain in sync and then sell them on like ebay as ready to deploy Nodes. That all the customer would have to do is run a few commands (that I explain to them) to setup a wallet and get the keys and then put in their witness info and they should be off to the races!

I want to create a Discord Bot. I want a Bot that I can connect to my local node perhaps and have it post in a channel everytime my Node produces a block and how much the rewards were for that block.

Basically take Arcange's website here: https://hive.arcange.eu/schedule but turn it into a bot that posts in Discord.

Also another idea is creating a Discord bot that will track certain accounts and post the link to their new articles in a channel. I think that would be super slick and could be used by a lot of communities. (this may already be a thing but I just haven't seen it).

I think eventually another cool idea is to make a Hive 'bot'. I have said since I created my @witness4all account that all post rewards would be 100% HP and I don't intend to withdraw any funds from that account ever (actually I don't think I ever withdrew any $$ from Hive, I have deposited a lot though lol).

So the end goal is to use THAT account to curate content on Hive that I think is good quality content. With the passive rewards from running the Node it will just keep growing so it will surpass my main account here shortly and I would LOVE to give back to people more than 0.002 per upvote lol

So that is me. This is who I am. I am not going anywhere. If you ever have questions or want help, I will try to help. I can't promise I know the answers but I can at least point you in the right direction. I work in IT and I sit at my desk for 10 hours a day so I am always a few clicks of the keyboard away :)

Also setting 10% of rewards to CommentRewarder because I never used it before and want to test it out. And setting 3% to go to my Witness account Witness4All cause... YOLO.
