Other Niche Communities Curation Report #2083

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2083 compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Mis Perros de la Calle || My Street Dogs [Subtitled]

In a world with so much turmoil and so many obligations to fulfill, it is necessary to look up and consciously observe our surroundings. In many publications, I have talked about my cats and dogs, but this time I will only talk about the rescued ones, with a very special mention in the middle.

Mom's First Ramen: A Delicious Surprise & Sweet Family Bonding at Ramen Kuroda

There’s nothing quite like a cold, rainy day to make you crave something warm and comforting, right? The weather last week was exactly that chilly and wet. My sister and I had been craving ramen for a while, and since we’ve both eaten at Ramen Kuroda before and loved it, we knew exactly where to go. It was the perfect plan after we spent some time strolling around SM Grand Central later that afternoon. It turned into a perfect bonding moment for me, my sister, and our dear mom.

Mi banda sonora. Levántame Catirita | My soundtrack. Build Me Up Buttercup

The problem with that one was that it could barely hold one short song, less than four minutes long. Furthermore, as it did not have a built-in radio, it was not possible to record any audio that was playing on the device, which is why it came with a small microphone. In truth, that device was almost useless.

“Musical Monday” Dígale, cover by @isbelhiv02. Esp-Eng

David Bisbal is a Spanish singer who rose to fame after he participated in a musical talent program and was among the finalists and the rest is history, with iconic songs such as "Bulería" or "Para enamorarte de mi" without a doubt an example for the new generations.

MORE STORIES ON STREET RECTANGLES - PHOTOGRAPHY STORIES || ENG-ESP || (12 pics)

These are all photographs taken at some point during the two thirds of June that have passed until today. In my town, practically every thing I observe in the streets translates into a story, an anecdote, a curious fact or a memory that comes immediately to my head. Because of that, I tend to shoot so many photos of so many things. I do it out of instinct and maybe out of some kind of addiction. But very often I use to dig into my archives, choose these photos, process and edit them to reconstruct my street visions surrounded by my written lines... So is this post today, for you on #Hive...

A Special Bond: The Magic of Being an Uncle. /Week 267

The truth is that time passed, and first my sister got pregnant, and I’m eight years older than her. She had a beautiful baby girl named Abril Lucía. You have no idea of the deep and real feeling I experienced when I held her for the first time. It was something I never imagined, and what never crossed my mind was that I would also have the joy of breastfeeding that same little girl, because 10 months later, I too became a mom.

¿Supersticiosa yo? ESP-ENG

Literature is rich in creations that speak of extraordinary powers, magic potions, and character behaviors where superstitions, rituals, beliefs, and myths intertwine with daily life. I stole the expression from Panchito Mandefuá, the protagonist of a story by José Rafael Pocaterra. And I tell my granddaughter when our steps force us to enter a really good ice cream shop, "the day of spending, archipetaquiremandefuá spends." She laughs, and that's enough for the ritual to work, and we eat the most delicious ice creams, which will have us talking about them all the way home, with the certainty that we'll be back. It works!

Con Topocho [Spa/Eng]

A little history never hurts. Its origin is known to be part of South Asia, arriving in the Mediterranean around 650 AD, and it is estimated that in the 16th century it was brought to America, mainly to Venezuela, due to its very fertile soil and tropical and humid climate. This product can be consumed throughout the year. It is an energy-rich food, very beneficial to health, with a high fibre content, making it ideal for diets and medical needs.

A coffee after lunch / Un cafecito después de comer

Usually, when I go out to eat, I do it in the company of my children, so we usually order something for the two of us (or the 3 of us if the eldest is encouraged to go out with us), or failing that, a personal combo for each of us, but the so-called executive menu has never been an option.

I always see in the offers of the food centers this option, which besides being quite complete, it is a quick way out with a little bit of everything, and the best thing is that they serve it in an expeditious way, as if to eat and go back to work. At least, that's how it was in my childhood, when Dad would eat on the street and for some reason I would go with him.
