Revealing the journey of a newbie: Here's my story

Hello beloved hivers, good day!This is @mariajasmin,the newbie here in Hive, living in Cebu Province.I am now 17 years old ,and in few more days I will be turning into legal age which is my 18th birthday this is so exciting.I also graduated from Ilihan Integrated School under the(Accountancy Business and Management)ABM Strand on April 2025.

This username @mariajasmin, was probably my real name,this was also the name that I got baptized when I was 1 month old. A few years passed by , and I was already grown up and started to study, my parents decided to get me a PSA because it was required for school. But when they got my PSA, my first name was only Jasmin, so we had nothing else to do just to accept it because it was too expensive to replace.

I have seven siblings, and I am the second . I am so happy and blessed to have this kind of family,simple but have God in our lives. Even though sometimes we're facing a lot of challenges in life just like financial problems, we still don't forget to be grateful for the blessings we have received from the Lord .Before and after we eat, we always pray as a sign of our gratitude for the daily blessings .Every Saturday at 3 pm we also go to the chapel to pray the rosary,and every Sunday some of us also go to church.

Way back when I was in elementary, I always felt excited about going to school. I was an active student, I loved to learn new lessons, enjoy playing with my classmates ,etc. However, there are things that certainly hinder my ability and skills to do more in class. Behind being a good and active student ,I also don't have enough self-confidence. I am a shy person and afraid of public speaking ,especially in front of a lot of people

Even though when I was in junior high school ,I still had these feelings .But I always kept in mind to do my very best and think positively because I believed that I could surpass every struggle that I'd face.And since I was an honor student from elementary until high school, I challenged myself to balance my priorities well,handle my struggles or academic pressures effectively ,and create time management wisely.

Honestly,I really admire those students who are capable of doing what they want ,embracing their unique and hidden talents without any burden and hindrances in their minds.Like they have the self-confidence that I've always wanted to have.Sometimes I feel insecure because they are free to do what their minds and hearts desires,they have the courage to stand on the stage and face the large crowd in the gym without any fear or anxiety .But then, I suddenly realized that each one of us has various skills,abilities,knowledge ,and talents.All we need to do is shine,love ourselves,believe in ourselves, and always ask God for guidance .We must be proud of ourselves because I know that someday there's a lot of opportunity that will come to us, presenting a remarkable potential and wisdom.

When I already reached my senior high school life, our lessons became more and more difficult ,but despite everything,I remained strong and told myself that "I can do this".Additionally ,being a student, we can't really run away from stress,staying up late because of school works ,cramming,and fatigue.However,I'm still blessed and thankful to have good friends. A group of friends who always help each other,a beacon of hope ,a shoulder to lean on,sharing jokes and laughter,and most of all ,a circle of friends that are always there through ups and downs.They also become my guiding light and comfort to overcome struggles.

Hobbies that brings me comfort and happiness

I love playing and spending time with my family,especially with my siblings at home,they can bring me immense joy and comfort.Their presence,laughter,and smiles are heartwarming,instantly lifting my spirits even in hardest times.Even simple things can fill me with satisfaction ,especially when I am with my loved ones .I am truly happy and proud of their accomplishments and witnessing their successes.They are my biggest source of happiness, and I cherish every moment I spend with them.Additionally, I also love singing and dancing.

In school,I also had friends that feel like a family to me.Every time I am with them,I feel comfortable .The jokes and irritating words we heard from them were always there,but still, the love and understanding never faded that really filled me with happiness .Even when some events came,we always had some selfies and videos together to have more memories.

But sadly,after the graduation,we did not have much time together,some of them were in other places.However, I'm still thankful and grateful to have them in my life,and I will forever treasure the moment that we spent together.I also realized that there are people who will come into our lives,who will give us joy,comfort,and love.But at the end,the time will come that our paths will separate,facing our different ways.That's why I need to be stronger and more independent for the future,that even if destiny separated us,I could still fight alone.

How did I meet Hive?

I met Hive when my adviser @callmesmile introduced this to us.She oriented us and gave us a wide knowledge and discoveries about this blogging.While knowing what Hive is, I saw the curiosity and exciting reactions of my batchmates,it is really inspiring and gave us motivations that really convinced us to start with this great opportunity. I am truly honored and thankful to be part of this community.
