Greetings Dear Readers;

.
Hope you are well and enjoying a fine day today.

What a Principle ....right...too simple? Let's give it a look.

'Hypersensitivity means loss of common sense.'

Hyper....Sensitive....ity...

Let's look at the word...'Sensitive'...'That conveys or receives sense impressions; as sensitive nerves.' Med. Abnormally susceptible; sensitized.'

'Excessive sensitivity'....is the meaning of the word 'Hypersensitivity'....loss of objectivity...resulting in loss of common sense.

Common sense...(as found in the dictionary)...'implies a capacity for making practical, or prudent and reasonable decisions.'

Looking at the meaning of these words assists in a clearer, sharper, understanding of this Principle/ Timeless Truth.

Let's see if we can say it another way....now that we have looked at the meaning of these words according to a dictionary.

Excessive sensitivity causes loss of the ability to make reasonable decisions.

It should be noted that 'Hypersensitivity is blind to it's hypersensitivity'...hopefully it is only of short duration. This is why this principle is helpful...if we can realise we are not being reasonable...we can recognise our need of objectivity.

Shall we give this Timeless Truth a think.

.

Wishing you and yours all the best...God's best!
.

...For God loved the world so much that He sent His uniquely born Son (Jesus Christ) so that anyone who believes on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3.16

It is faith alone in Christ alone for salvation.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

I see so much hypersensitivity these days! "If you are not of this opinion, unfriend me" and all of that is a little out of hand.

I break things down to what we can control. Very little except how we choose to respond to things. Not react because that is our impulses taking our control right back. When discomfort becomes pain and inconvenience is an attack on someone's entitlement of peace, we become fragile. This is no world to be fragile!

Anyhow, when we are hyper-sensitive, we are being jerked around by our feelings with our intellect and wisdom turned off. There is your loss of common sense!

Acknowledge your feelings but use common sense as well!

Greetings @zekepickleman ,

That is the way of it....to be sure.

I really appreciate how you have explained, articulated the principle....Well said.

"This is no world in which to be fragile".....indeed. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujag

These flowers are Dahlias? Really very beautiful!

And yes, it is true, in phases of hypersensitivity sometimes I also tend to make premature, rash decisions, for example blaming someone in an unjustifiably way.

Greetings @gen-quimba ,

Lovely to hear from you.

Yes...these are just a few of the many different kinds of dahlias available in the Gardening world. Happy to hear you can appreciate them. ^__^

That is how you know when it has crept into your thinking....at least you know.

Thank you for dropping by.

Kindest Regards, Bleujay

Those pictures came out so gorgeous, very well done! I have to agree about hypersensitivity, some people are becoming so hypersensitive that they are losing their sanity. Or maybe it was the other way around? I believe that to live successfully in this world you have to be sensitive to others and empathetic. It seems, at times, those things are being lost faster and faster. Social media certainly hasn't helped either, it's easy for people to be bullies when not speaking to someone's face.

I loved the post, very practical! Keep the faith alive as well as the kindness!

I would say I have a lot of common sense, in fact I analyze every decision I make, I am always on the defensive, I always stay alert.

Greetings @lupega ,

Apologies for the lateness of this reply.

Thank you for dropping by.

Sounds like you understand the Principle.

Wow!...You have beautiful flowers in your garden @bleujay friend!... Especially those fabulous Dahlias!!! 😍🌻🙏... Today you bring us an interesting and accurate reflection regarding "hypersensitivity", something that -in my personal opinion- I see very frequently in younger people... Curiously, when I began my studies in Systems Engineering (about 38 years ago), one of my Structured Networks professors, named "Joshep Alayón", told us something that has remained engraved in my mind: The creator of a complex structured network must have a "very cool head", if he is a "hypersensitive" guy he will never be good at this and will ruin many things... Those were times when working in IT was hard! 😂... And after this, our professor added something like: "This advice is useful for structured networks and for many things in life"... As always, a valuable, concise and magical post!... Have a happy and blessed week, dear friend!... Thanks for sharing and thank you for made me reminding my dear Joshep teacher !!!

Exactly! That's what I've noticed happening to me in the last years...
I mean.. I did it to myself :D and after extensive inner work & observations...
I see there is a need to be in the mess to keep you agile & realistic!
Common sense is to be toghether with all! :D

Have a nice Sunday!

Greetings @trayan ,

How very kind of you to drop by.

It is true.....self inflicted..sometimes we are our own worst enemy. Happy to hear your good news....Before we can solve a problem...we must know what the problem is. ^__^

Oh idk....You said. 'Common sense is to be together with all! '

I personally think it is a matter of 'a cool head', objectivity, some say 'a thick skin'....Common sense is a manifestation of humility, orientation to life.

Thank you for your lovely comment and kind wishes.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

Yes ..common sense is: what is best to be done for..all that is :)

Thank you for clarifying... ^__^

Too true.

Beautiful reflection: hypersensitivity often takes us away from lucidity!

Thank you. Indeed....Well said!

Appreciate your kind and generous tip.

Thank you @libertycrypto27 and @tipu !

This is a very thoughtful point. Being too sensitive can really affect how we see things and make decisions. I like how you explained the need for more objectivity.

Greetings @tahirmuneer ,

If we are hypersensitive, then emotions and sensitivity takes over brain and decisions are not rational, better stop and wait a moment to calm

There should be some such principles in life and then after that one should live their life according to them. Only then will life go well. It is a fact that all of us face many difficulties in life but we have to be patient. All the flowers that are there are looking very beautiful.

Greetings @djbravo ,

Well said....yes...Many great leaders in History have lived by Principles.

Thank you for your kind compliments with regard to the fleurs.
