We are in a very special time, and it is important that we take the time to thank God not only for the gifts we have received, but also to be grateful for that gift that was once placed in the manger for all humanity and through which we can attain fullness today.
Then Herod, having secretly called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8 And sending them to Bethlehem, he said, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I also may go and worship him.” 9 And they, having heard the king, went on their way; and behold, the star that they had seen in the east went before them until it came and stood over where the child was. 10 And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshiped him; And opening their treasures, they offered him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

There are countless responses we can have during the Christmas season, and yet worship remains the most important and pleasing to God. We can rejoice greatly in the act of our Lord Jesus Christ, in having come into the world in human form to redeem us from sin through his sacrifice, thus fulfilling his purpose of rescuing us from sin to give us free access to God and a relationship with him forever.
15 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
1 Timothy 1:15
Remember the story of the wise men who came from the East to worship the newborn King, Jesus Christ. The Magi were guided by a star and traveled a long way, understanding that this star would guide them to the Messiah. When they arrived in Bethlehem, they offered gifts to the newborn and humbled themselves. They recognized that this Messiah, the King of the Jews who had been born, was far greater than they were; they honored and worshipped him.
This is the example we have from these Magi, or wise men, who, though very important themselves, recognized and placed Jesus in the highest position, traveling a long way just to bring gifts and worship him. Perhaps it is difficult for us to establish priorities, especially putting Jesus first. We must always keep this in mind to work on it and put Jesus first in all things, focusing on everything we have in our lives, but primarily keeping our eyes on Jesus, without overlooking this gift from the Father to us.
It is very easy to get distracted from what is important, but we must avoid it. Let's just imagine the journey these wise men must have undertaken, the risks they faced to reach the newborn. Like these wise men, we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus even when faced with adversity.

Estamos en una fecha muy especial y es importante que tomemos el tiempo para agradecer a Dios no solamente por los regalos que hemos recibido, también que seamos agradecidos por ese regalo que una vez fue colocado en el pesebre para toda la humanidad y por el cual hoy podemos alcanzar la plenitud.
Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto a los magos, indagó de ellos diligentemente el tiempo de la aparición de la estrella; 8 y enviándolos a Belén, dijo: Id allá y averiguad con diligencia acerca del niño; y cuando le halléis, hacédmelo saber, para que yo también vaya y le adore. 9 Ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron; y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se detuvo sobre donde estaba el niño. 10 Y al ver la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo. 11 Y al entrar en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, lo adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron presentes: oro, incienso y mirra.

Hay muchísimas respuestas que podemos tener durante la época de Navidad, y aún así la adoración sigue siendo la más importante que agrada a Dios. Podemos regocijarnos en sobremanera en el acto de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, en haber venido al mundo en forma de hombre para redimirnos del pecado a través de su sacrificio, cumpliendo así su propósito de rescatarnos del pecado para darnos un libre acceso a Dios y poder tener una relación con Dios para siempre.
15 Palabra fiel y digna de ser recibida por todos: que Cristo Jesús vino al mundo para salvar a los pecadores, de los cuales yo soy el primero.
1 Timoteo 1:15
Recordar el cuadro de los magos que habían venido del oriente para adorar al nuevo rey que había nacido, a Jesús el Cristo. Los magos fueron guiados por una estrella y recorrieron un largo trecho entendiendo que están estrellan los guiaría hacia el mesías. Al momento que llegaron a Belén ofrecieron regalos al recién nacido y se humillaron. Reconocieron que ese mesías, el rey de los judíos que había nacido era mucho más grande que ellos, lo honraron y le adoraron.
Es este el ejemplo que tenemos por parte de estos magos o sabios que siendo ellos muy importante reconocieron y pusieron a Jesús en el lugar más alto recorriendo un largo trecho sólo para atraer los presentes y adorarle a Jesús, quizás para nosotros sea algo difícil establecer prioridades sobre todo a Jesús como principal. Debemos tener esto siempre presente para trabajar en ello y poner a Jesús en primer lugar en todas las cosas, enfocarnos en todo lo que tenemos en nuestra vida pero principalmente los ojos puestos en Jesús sin dejar pasar por alto este regalo del padre para nosotros.
Es muy fácil desviarnos de lo importante pero debemos evitarlo. Simplemente imaginemos cómo habrá sido el trayecto de estos magos, el riesgo que se enfrentaron para llegar a donde estaba el recién nacido. Así como estos magos nosotros debemos tener nuestra mirada puesta en Jesús aún cuando se presenten dificultades adversas.
