Up fairly early as the trawler berthed on the warf to our west came back to port. They made my docking stress seem invalid.
If not for being awed and half asleep in hindsight a video of the event should have been recorded. With so much mass and momentum coming to that dwarfed wooden wharf it was impressive how they glided in without an engine revving. Moving like a ghost ship.
After a coffee and a bite to eat noticed that the electric heater had shorted out the plug it was in which seems to have taken out the series going from that plug to the microwave and the plugs on the port side after that. There was a reset switch on that plug too which was a suspect as the plug still was working. It looked like it needed replacement on athletics esthetics alone.
It seemed like a few more days were in order to get all the little jobs finished up before heading back to the mooring or Mahone Bay whichever came first. So it was off to the Zwicker's Wharf Office to have a chat with the staff.
First order of business was if there was any hardware store in town that may have electrical plug assemblies and if there was a place where one could get propane. As it turned out they happened to be beside each other. Propane at the Irving Gas Station and the electric plugs at the hardware store just beyond the Irving.
BAM and BAM!
And what should be right across the street? The NSLC's Cannabis Store. BAM!
By the time the walk was made back to Makina the activity had me ready for a nap. The electrical work could wait.
After getting rolling around supper time my Daughter contacted me in Discord and told me about their trip up to Nova Scotia's North Shore with her childhood friend that was down from Montreal. They were happy to be home again in Halifax but said they had a great time and hoped to get back out with me for some sailing when Pierre comes down again. He had suggested after June 5th when speaking him about the electrical situation earlier today.
After some grinding on Ashes of Creation this evening it may be time now to do some YouTube chillin' up in the forward V Berth.

It looks like amperage overdraw got the outlet which will not always flip the switch in those kinds of outlets.
Good call. My feeling was that the electric heater was too over powered for the circuitry. Will be putting a new plug in today and keeping the heater away from the new setup. Running my diesel heater to push back today's morning dampness.
I wonder how well an electric blanket or recirculating oil heater would do on a boat.
Before winter set in a diesel heater was installed in the aft lazarette. It's been a real trooper. This spring has been a long and damp one and its made boat living very cozy. That amperage sucking electric heater has been sentenced to walk the plank. 🏴☠️
You had me at Cannabis..
BAM! 😂
