Limited New Release Perth Mint…

Afternoon everyone…..

I’m back with yet another new release. But this one is not part of a series, it’s something more special than that. The coin is produced by the famous Perth Mint. They do absolutely impeccable work. I have never seen a poorly struck coin from them in all of my years of collecting/stacking. They are top notch and produce some of the best semi numismatic coins on the market today.

But this one is SPECIAL….

This email was from SD Bullion. They are one of only three American coin dealers authorized to sell this coin. It is highly limited as you will read below in the blurb I’ve pasted below from their website.

I personally think the design is very tastefully done and executed very well. This coin will have global appeal, so if you are interested in purchasing one or more I highly suggest you don’t wait. I’m sure the American dealers only have a small allotment which means they won’t last.

Here is the blurb from their website:

2025 1 oz 225th Anniversary of Australian Proclamation Pillar Dollar Coin
Now Available in the U.S.
225 years ago, the Spanish Pillar Dollar helped unify trade across continents, laying the groundwork for both Australia’s economic system and the birth of the U.S. dollar. Today, SD Bullion is honored to partner with the world-renowned Perth Mint to bring this legacy back to life—right here in the United States.
This is a rare opportunity.
Thanks to our strong relationship with the Perth Mint, SD Bullion is one of the few American dealers offering the 2025 1 oz Proclamation Pillar Dollar Coins—a tribute to the coin that shaped the Americas and the modern global economy.
Available in both .9999 fine silver (mintage: 30,000) and .9999 fine gold (mintage: only 10,000), this commemorative release is a limited and historically significant addition to any collection.

These 2025 Perth Mint Pillar Dollar Coins pay tribute to the legendary Spanish “Piece of Eight,” the silver coin that once powered commerce from Mexico to Massachusetts.
🌎 Design:
Two hemispheres beneath the Spanish Crown are flanked by the Pillars of Hercules, wrapped with “PLVS VLTRA” banners—Latin for “more beyond.”
Encircling the image, “VTRAQUE VNUM” declares “both are one,” symbolizing the unity of Old and New Worlds. The “M” mintmark pays tribute to the Mexico City Mint, which produced many of the original Spanish coins that circulated in early colonial Australia and helped drive trade across the Americas—including the young United States.
These coins aren’t just bullion—they’re tangible links to the global currency that helped shape early American commerce and inspire the U.S. dollar.

Now for the coin….
