So I suppose it shouldn’t have surprised me to see one on the ship. But what did surprise me was the prime real estate it commanded. The cruise allocated a full area in the middle of the ship’s main meeting space, almost like a centerpiece where guests naturally gathered. And gather they did.
Pricey? Sure. Unexpected? Not at All.
You’d think the combination of cruise pricing and Starbucks pricing would be painful, but honestly, I barely flinched. I’m so used to their pricing structure that it felt normal—just another day in the world of $6–$10 coffees.
And my family?
Let’s just say I had to ration our visits, because they wanted Starbucks every single day. If I didn’t keep an eye on it, we probably would’ve sailed home with a bill full of lattes and frappuccinos.
