During the power down that took place in January 2026, the APR for the CTPSB token decreased from 13% to 11%, while the power down went down. Since it was finished mid-february however, we could see an increase of the APR.
The weekly calculated APR was 11.7% on 15.2.2026; 13.6% on 22.2.2026 and now it went up to 14.2% on 1.3.2026. This is a nice progression and it translates an interesting truth about the project. The more tokens are burnt, the more the APR can grow. In other words, when we create a post, the author rewards have a bigger influence on the APR with fewer tokens in circulation.
Of course, there are also other factors in play, like the return on curation on hive and the organic growth of the hive power but it can be said that every burnt token contributes towards a higher APR for the remaining token holders !
