The Angolan war is a very good example not only of the typical African conflict of the second half of the twentieth century, but also one of the examples of the "proxywar" that was between the US and the USSR for control of the Third World countries - those that recently acquired Independence (or fought for it), and therefore could become either outposts of the free world or bastion of socialism.
It's really hard to understand correctly, i hope i did! Because i'm not really into history or war.
