Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you have a day so far which has brought some interesting experiences into your life! In this post I would like to share something about an experience I had in Hong Kong and I am happy if you can learn new things.
In Hong Kong I decided to make a trip to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery which is an absolute must to visit for everyone who should be in the city. It's very strongly associated with the Buddhist faith and as the name says, there are over 10000 Buddha statues here which all have certain peculiarities and while one looks to the left, the other has a rather thoughtful pose and people should not be fooled by the name and in reality there are even over 10000 statues to be found here. On this day there was almost nothing going on and it was extremely quiet to match with this spiritual place, but I can well imagine that there are also days when it's much more crowded. The monastery a perfect change to the rather stressful climate of the big city and here there should be something for pretty much everyone and in addition to the cultural aspects can visitors also admire an enchanting nature and in addition these artistic aspects should not be neglected.
For people who have a problem with walking, I would rather recommend it less because hundreds of steps have to be climbed, but I would still describe the difficulty of this hike with 400 steps as relatively easy to moderate. At first I thought that monks would live here, but this is not the case and it's only designed as a memorial that has existed since 1949 and was created also by a monk. Next to the steps that lead up, hundreds of Buddha statues can be seen, but most of them are at the top and when people have arrived, there is the opportunity to drink or buy something to eat. The unique thing here is in any case the uniqueness of all the Buddha statues as well as the variety of things that can be admired here, but people should definitely pay attention to chose a day with dry weather and put on solid shoes.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new and like my post! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
