Los cumpleaños no paran de llegar y esta vez llegó el turno de Wendy. En el grupo solo falta que digan dónde es la reunión y ahí se llega la gente a chismear, que digo, a compartir jajaja. Lo de la palabra chisme tiene su anécdota y es que la nieta de una amiga le dijo un día que le tenía un chisme y cuando se lo contó, lo que le dijo fue un cuento normal. Eso nos causó mucha gracia y ahora, cuando nos reunimos, todos comparten chismes o, mejor dicho, hablamos sobre las cosas que nos pasan en el día a día y así nos actualizamos.
The birthdays don't stop coming and this time it was Wendy's turn. The only thing missing in the group is for them to say where the meeting is and then people come to gossip, I mean, to share hahaha. The word “gossip” has its own anecdote and it is that the granddaughter of a friend told her one day that she had a gossip and when she told her, what she said was a normal story. That caused us a lot of fun and now, when we get together, we all share gossip or, better said, we talk about things that happen to us on a daily basis and that's how we update each other.
Para este cumpleaños, decidimos nuevamente reunirnos en un centro comercial. Es cómodo reunirse en otro lugar y no tener que luego estar pendiente de limpiar y organizar la casa. Reunirse en un centro comercial es tener diferentes opciones para comer, diferentes actividades para hacer, disfrutar del aire acondicionado y un buen espacio para sentarse a conversar. También es una firma de que la cumpleañera salga de su casa a celebrar y no tener que darle trabajo por estar en su casa y el tener que atender a la visita.
For this birthday, we decided again to meet at a shopping mall. It's convenient to meet somewhere else and not have to worry about cleaning and organizing the house. Meeting at a mall is having different options for eating, different activities to do, enjoying the air conditioning and a nice space to sit and talk. It is also a way for the birthday girl to get out of her house to celebrate and not have to give her work to do because she is at home and has to take care of the visitor.
Entre tantas opciones que había para comer, decidimos comprar perros calientes. Si, el grupo es adicto a este tipo de comidas y a las pizzas, pero recientemente comimos pizza y decidimos comprar perros calientes en un local dentro del centro comercial que vende a buen precio y muy buena calidad. Todos quedamos contentos con la comida, satisfechos y eso da pies a seguir conversando de comida, porque todos somos colegas gastronómicos y es difícil dejar de hablar de ese tema.
Among so many options to eat, we decided to buy hot dogs. Yes, the group is addicted to this type of food and pizzas, but recently we had pizza and decided to buy hot dogs at a place inside the mall that sells good prices and very good quality. We were all happy with the food, satisfied, and that gives us an opportunity to continue talking about food, because we are all gastronomic colleagues and it is difficult to stop talking about this topic.
Por supuesto que no podía faltar el dulce. Había quesillo, que es tradición en cada cumpleaños de un venezolano. También había torta de parchita, que estaba muy buena y me compartieron el secreto y luego les comparto una versión de la torta porque es demasiado rica. Adicionalmente, había un pan estilo torta de zanahoria. Ese pan lo preparé yo y pronto les comparto la receta porque de verdad es muy práctico de hacer.
Of course, the sweet could not be missing. There was quesillo, which is a tradition in every Venezuelan's birthday. There was also parchita cake, which was very good and they shared the secret with me and then I will share with you a version of the cake because it is too delicious. Additionally, there was a carrot cake style bread. I prepared that bread myself and I will soon share the recipe with you because it is really very practical to make.
La pasamos bien, conversamos muchísimo y eso permite que cada uno deje de lado cualquier situación. Reunirse con amigos recarga las energías, ayuda a drenar tensiones porque la vida tiene de todo, solo es cuestión de encontrar actividades que ayuden a tener un equilibrio.
We have a good time, we talk a lot and that allows everyone to leave any situation aside. Getting together with friends recharges the energy, helps to drain tensions because life has everything, it's just a matter of finding activities that help to have a balance.
