The junkyard welcome.. 5 Minute Freewrite Daily Prompt.

Howdy Freewriters☺️. I trust you're all well. Welcome to my 5 Minute Freewrite entry.

The newest arrival in the junkyard was none other than the old beat-up Truck. His body was all dented coated in layers of dried mud and what looked like bird poop. His bumper hung like a broken jaw, his side mirror clinging for dear life. The headlights looked like tired eyes that had seen too much. His paint was faded, chipped. Rust had eaten half the body like termites.

"Hi guys," he greeted feebly.

"My! My! Look what the Tow dragged in guys," the boastiful Coupe disgustingly called out. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. You look like a chain-smoking grandpa in a stained vest," he continued, analysing the latest arrival.

The grumpy Sedan let out a sigh, "I'm trying to get some rest here," he grunted dismissing Coupe.

"I've never seen none so ugly like you!" Coupe jeered, revving slightly as if mocking the Truck's age.

"Coupe!" the empathetic Van called out.

"What!" Coupe replied before arrogantly adding, "don't pretend you don' see how ugly he is."

An awkward silence followed Coupe's retorted remark. The friendly Hatchback stared, taking in Truck's details - like a hard pill to swallow.

Eventually, she spoke. "Hi, I'm Hatchback," she introduced herself with a soft smile. "I hate to agree with Coupe, but you really are a sight for sore eyes," she added.

"Could you please give the poor thing a break," Van intervened empathetically.

"Don't mind them, Truck, especially Coupe, he likes showing off. Welcome to the junkyard," she said warmly.

"Thank you," the old ugly Truck replied.
