PART 1 of 3
So apparently the U.K. is rolling out the 2029 version of “papers, please”… but with WiFi.
Keir Starmer basically said:
“No digital ID? No job. Period.”
What a beautiful, inspirational way to tell people they’re unemployed.
He even called it “patriotic renewal,” which is political code for:
“Don’t resist, it’s for your own good.”
Opposition parties are all screaming:
– Conservatives: “This is a desperate gimmick!”
– Lib Dems: “Hello? Privacy??”
– Labour MPs: “Tony Blair’s been trying to do this since dinosaurs walked the earth.”
– Green Party: “The problem is rich people.” (Same energy, different issue.)
But don’t worry, the government promises it’s safe.
And if there’s one thing history has taught us, it’s that governments never misuse new surveillance powers.
(You can laugh now.)
